After adding vocalist Alfred Lindskov-Dahl to the mix in 2020, Lextraneus began to develop their own distinctive sound, blending crushing riffs with melodic vocals. The band's lineup was finally completed in 2021 with the addition of bassist Mikkel Grenick. The band wasted no time in recording their debut singles, Delude and Shattered with Nicklas Sonne: vocalist and guitarist of Defecto and founder of Sonne Studios.

With their critically acclaimed debut album. Exhale released in 2023, Lextraneus impressed both critics and metal fans alike, bringing a breath of fresh air to the ever-changing metal scene.
