Internationally recognized Austro-Italian violinist Olivia De Prato has established herself as a passionate performer of contemporary music and regularly performs across Europe, South America, China and the United States
At KLAR!festival 2024 she presents several Danish premiers of leading contemporary Austrian composers as well as commissioned pieces from her Artist Mother Project. The inspiration for these compositions is centered around the topic of being both an artist and a mother and how motherhood does influence one's artistic vision and creativity. The music stands alone on its own merits, but will invite listeners to examine the practical realities and societal position of the artist as a mother.
