"A CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH THE SILVER DOLLAR DUKE" griber kunstneren, forfatteren og performeren Madame Nielsen - ledsaget af de kosmiske lyd-troldmænd Simon & Simon, Toldam & Forchhammer - ind i David Bowies sceniske og soniske liv og død. På en rejse gennem ni sange forvandles hvert af Bowies androgyne alter egoer til et nyt skrøbeligt "Madamed"-væsen, der eksisterer hinsides kønsidentifikation og art, fra 'homo sacer' gennem android til posthumant insekt. Necromancy (Lucatelli, Pilgaard, Vestergaard)
Den DMA-prisvindende vokaltrio Necromancy er et radikalt møde mellem komponisterne og musikerne Lars Bech Pilgaard, Anders Vestergaard og Marcela Lucatelli. Med trommer, guitar, effekter og ekstrem-vokal skaber de en tunnel mellem vestlige og afro-brasilianske dødsperspektiver i en groovy rutsjebane af noise, gotik og horror. Sangene synges på portugisisk og yoruba-sproget, karakteristisk for santeria-ritualerne i blandt andet Nigeria, Brasilien og Cuba. Til hvert sats hyldes der en bestemt afro-brasiliansk "gud/inde" gennem deres forskellige klanglige træk.Marcela Lucatelli er en bemærkelsesværdig kunstner på den internationale musikscene, der forener ny kompositionsmusik, innovative vokaleksperimenter og ofte politisk ladede performances. For Lucatelli er scenen ikke blot et rum til musikalsk og kunstnerisk udfoldelse, men også en arena, hvor kampen for kunsten og politiske dagsordener kan finde sted. In "A CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH THE SILVER DOLLAR DUKE", artist, author, and performer Madame Nielsen - accompanied by the cosmic sound wizards Simon & Simon, Toldam & Forchhammer - intervenes into the scenic and sonic life and death of David Bowie. On a journey through nine songs, each of Bowie's androgynous alter egos is transformed into a new fragile, "Madamed" being that exists beyond gender identification and species, from 'homo sacer' through android to posthuman insect. Necromancy (Lucatelli, Pilgaard, Vestergaard)
DMA award-winning vocal trio Necromancy is a radical meeting between the composers and musicians Lars Bech Pilgaard, Anders Vestergaard and Marcela Lucatelli. With drums, guitar, effects and extreme vocals, they create a tunnel between Western and Afro-Brazilian perspectives of death in a groovy roller coaster of noise, gothic and horror. The songs are sung in the Portuguese and Yoruba languages, characteristic of the santeria rituals in Nigeria, Brazil and Cuba, among others. Each movement pays homage to a specific Afro-Brazilian "god/dess" through their different sonic features.Marcela Lucatelli is a remarkable artist on the international music scene, uniting new compositional music, innovative vocal experiments and often politically charged performances. For Lucatelli, the stage is not only a space for musical and artistic expression, but also an arena where the fight for art and political agendas can take place. She is behind a multitude of projects and musical constellations, and her music has been performed by the DR Symphony Orchestra, DR VokalEnsemblet, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart and the radical group Apartment House, to name a few.
